Code 36! Help!

well, i started my car the other day, and out of nowhere, the check engine light popped on. all last night and today it has been on and performance seems to be lagging a tiny bit. i read a code 36 which is something with the MAF connections i think, or some ignition problems. anyone have this problem? any help/suggestions? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks,

gordy

Slicks,

Inspect the MAF burnoff relay and its connections. You can exchange the MAF power and burnoff relays to help diagnose the problem, butt a new relay is only about ten bucks.

Of course, verifying good connectiosn at the MAF itself is a very good idea, but the DTC 36 indicates a burnoff problem, which is often ther relay. It is also possible that you have a problem with the auxilliary oil pressure switch, but those cases are rare.
