compression and fuel

If I run 11.1 compression can I get away with running 92 octane?

Nope, I believe 10:1 is max with pump gas , though I hear you can get away with a little more nowadays, not sure how true that is.

10 : 1 is the most you can use 92 octane fuel for.

Around 10:1 +/- a smuggin' is about the limit with cast iron heads. Alumium heads can go about .5 more.

A true 11:1 is pushing it.

There are some variables that will affect the ultamite limit.
And every motor will be a little different.

I'd build for 10.5:1 for alumium heads on 92 octane.

The trouble is,,, having just a little more compression than
*your motor in your car* needs will result in spark knock
which kills power and can damage your motor.

Being slightly under the absolute limit, is not going to hold you back any and you'll go a lot further for longer
