Help Me PLZ....I have an 85 Trans Am 305tpi.. i dont know what is wrong with it.. i turn the key and it starts right up but it runs like ****...not all the cylinders are firing and its hard to keep running i need to pump the gas pedal.. i cant just hold it i need to keep it moving. I dont know if it is a problem with the fuel but i think so...Fuel pump maybe..i replaced the fuel filter and put some injector cleaner in...NO Help...when i had the line off i turned the key to on and fuel seems to come out good...But with the line off shouldnt the pump keep going since there is no pressure. Or would it turn off after about 7 seconds...any way any suggestions?:hail:

 

well u said not all cylenders where not fireing so my first (and most simplest awnser) is that its the spark plugs, it might be the fuel pump but i could be wrong.... (im always counterdicting myself )

 

When was the last time you did a tune-up? Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and set the timing.

 

i think you ought to start with a little trouble shooting or jump right in a nmake sure you have a good tune up and go form there

 

Well, i havnt had the car for too long so i dont know when the last tune up was..Im took a spark plug out and it had a little carbon build up on it but not that bad.. But the others may be worse. I cleaned that one up and put it back.
