Axle/Gears: 4.10
Computer facts on 305 buildup
Hallo!
I am going to do some mods to my car this winter so if you will make a comments about these facts I be pleased.
Whith these mods the engine will create following specs,can that be for real.
RPM HP Ft.lbs
2000 131 343
2500 167 350
3000 205 360
3500 246 369
4000 283 371
4500 315 368
5000 333 350
5500 334 319
6000 317 277
These specs are whith vortec heads I am going for ported tpi heads.
Here are my other mods:
High flow TBI unit from cfm tech 570cfm
Edelbrock TBI performer intake
compcam extreme energy The duration at .050 is 206 on the intake,and 212 on the exhaust.It has a valve lift of .480 on the intake,and .488 on the exhaust.It has a lobe seperation angle of 112.
Hooker headders,Y-pipe
3" fullflowsystem flowmaster whith highflow cat.
custom chip
Low temp stat 180
Are there anything else I chould think of let me now.

B&M filter roller rockers you may wanna upgrade springs with that lift and replace the pressin rocker studs. Gasket match the intake do not polish it though. If this is a 350 your TBI unit may be challenged with your mods Port the intake runners but dont polish them. port and polish the exhaust side of the heads. Thats all I can think of right now. That's a good cam for that motor, if it's the XR258HR (12-408-8).
Those numbers are meaningless. No way that motor is going to make that kind of power once it's in a car. I doubt it would even do it on a dyno stand. With the 305 heads I'd expect something more near the 250 HP peak range at 4300 RPM, peak torque around 275 at around 3000-3200 RPM. Still, a nice improvement of almost 50% over the 170 HP you have now.

I will be pleased anyway becouse my goal was 250-270hp an still running TBI,I was just interrested if those numbers could be for real.
