gm crate engines?

looking into the fastburn 385...anyone know anything about these.

i've been told i can get upwards of 450 with the right intake; any truth to this? i plan to use my tpi for awhile til i could get the extra cash to put the right intake on. would this be ok?

i'm looking for a 4 bolt forged bottom end with a good compression to run a poweradder. hoping for 600 range on both sides with the use of a supercharger on low boost or some other power adder.

any suggestions or reasons why i shouldn't use this setup.

Lookin in the Jegs catalog, seems like a decent motor, I don't know a whole lot about roller cams, but I know you can get away with more lift on them over hydrualic cams and still have good driveability.

Anyone else think the cam in it, could have a lot higher lift on it?

How much boost you plan on running?

whatever i need to get to 600 on both sides....

i figure the fastburn 385 if it will take this amount with a hot cam like the lt4 and some roller rockers along with a good intake and throw a procharger on there with twin intercoolers and use my nitrous to cool the intercoolers.

thinking somewhere around 9-12 lbs of boost using something like a D-1SC.

what do you think?
