ok well tomorrow im going to change my cam and lifters.....first time,...hehehe fun stuff....ok well anyways..im putting a energizer 266 into my 305...now i know i should get new valvesprings..but i dont have access to an air compressor for a few weeks...now would it be ok to keep my stock springs in for a few weeks...and also once i hook back up the radiator and stuff where should i put coolant back in....the radiator or what...jus some last minute what if's...

You can keep the valve up and closed while changeing
valve springs with a length of 3/8" nylon rope.
loosen off both valves, stuff it into the spark plug hole and rotate the motor over by hand till the piston raises jamming the rope against the head.
Get one of these tools.
