Running rough problem

Hi guys. A friend of mine with a 350 TPI has a weird problem with his engine.

First the engine had started to run rough on him... He kicks the gas pedal, but the car don't react the way it should be, like it is not breathing good or the fuel lines are dirty.
He changed the Fuel Pump and Fuel Filter. He cleaned the fuel tank, fuel lines and the injectors, but the car still the same. Then he changed the spark plugs and nothing happened!!!

If the car is cold (2 days hadn't been drivin) you start it, it works normal like it has no problems at all, but if you turn the engine off and start it again (such as went to supermarket and parked it) it runs rough and while driving you feel the engine will stops on you at any moment unless you drive at high speeds. And as much as you do this it runs worse than before every time it is turned off and on again.

Now even if the car is cold and you start it and it's parked it runs rough and turns off alone. (Like it's not breathing well) We checked the SES error code and we got error code *33*. By checking the Chilton Book we get a MAF problem!!!

So what could be the problem? Is it really the MAF or something bigger than that? And what could coused it?

Thanks in advance.

Ali,

A "32" should be an error code for the EGR system, not the MAF. MAF error codes are "33", "34", and "36".

Check the EGR vacuum solenoid, diagnostic temperature sensor, and EGR valve itself.
