got ripped
got ripped
Well guys, I got ripped the other day, I bought a motor from a guy that said it was a 327. I get it home and run the casting numbers and what do I find, 1977 "305". I guess its my own fault for not checking them first, It ain't that bad though, I did get a nice TH350 that was bolted to it. I only paid $25.00 for both pieces so I'm not mad, just goes to show you check the numbers first.
I think I made out on the deal, the guy I bought it from caught holy He!! for me getting stuck in his yard picking it up, I think he paid more dearly than I did.
by the way,it has 1977 heads, do you think the heads are worth messing worth or are they worse than later year factory 305 heads.

Kid I knew was always talking about how he bought a 383 for his truck and it had all sorts of good parts in it. Well, the truth came out when he blew the engine. Turnes out it was just a regular old stock rebuilt 350 with a cam. He raised hell with the guy he bought it from
or so he says...
