Engine making clicking sound?

My 305 tpi, since i bought it has made a clicking sound, people i talk to says its from the spark plugs sparkin the same time, and they said all i need is new spark plugs, but i was just wondering if that is the problem, or is it a knock?? and also what does a knock sound like? is it loud, fast? slow? w/e, thank you so much

If it is a light ticking sound...
The injectors click when they pulse. The EGR valve will also, but I don't think it is that noticable.

when i changed my plugs and wires i tried to do it way too fast and got the wires all switched up and my plugs were firing at the same time, not at all, and every which way, but they were'tn clicking...... the car just ran rough.....

i thought a knock happened worse at higher rpms, and i didnt think it was obnoxiously loud like you're describing

other than that i dont know......could something internal be making your noise?

well when i go faster it seems to quit, i mean its not THAT LOUD, its very unnoticable unless u have your hood up, and its coming from the right side, a mechanic even said its just the spark plugs and is no big deal, but im still curious if its something else, i had the car dynoed, and its not losing any power at all, and has good idle

well i could be wrong but that just doesnt *sound* (pardon the pun) like something the plugs THEMSELVES would do. can you narrow down the origin anymore than that??

what'd it dyno at out of curiosity, and what do you have done to it?

If it's a tapping sound like you can synthesize by tapping two tablespoons together, it may be a rocker/valve noise. If it's a very faint tick, it may be a slight exhaust leak or an injector. I can hear ALL my injectors clicking when the engine is idling low and the radio is off.
