Dyno testing

i will soon be getting a 88 IROC with a rebuilt 350, and was told it was dyno tested at 305 bhp. what i want to know is how much does dyno testing cost and where can i go to have it tested, i live in chicago, but i have no idea what is out here, and how worth it is it to have the car tested??

IMO it is worth it. There's no other way to know whether something you've done produced results or not, but actual measurement; either track times, or lap times, or dyno numbers.

Most places charge about $75 for 3 pulls. Details vary. Call the speed shops in your area, lots of them either have them, or can tell you who does.

It would be interesting to see if this car actually does what the seller claims.... have him there when it's being tested, before you buy it.
