hey guys
i'v got a 92 rs, 305 TBI auto w/ 160+k miles.
the car had a rebuilt GM tranny installed 2 years ago and has about 20K miles on it. it had a tune up at the same time. the car has been garaged and driven very little up til 6 months ago.
Now its a daily driver.
It runs well, strong and very stable idle. Tach is solid. However, when it idles the car shakes. If i get on it, the a/c blower on max slows down as if on low then blows hard when i let off.
my mechanic said theres nothing wrong with the engine, no misfires and confirms smoth running. He suspects it may be the torque converter.
any ideas ?
