Does anyone out the have any ideas as to why my car doesn't want to start without stepping on the gas pedal several times? Car is 1985 Trans Am, 305 TPI, auto trans. I believe the car is stock, but am not entirely sure of it. Any ideas would be appreciated.

 

someone correct me if im wrong, but i dont think hit the gas pedal has any thing to do with it starting or not, if it was carb it would but not on a TPI, my old car i thought it wouldnt start unless i pumped the gas pedal..but i stop doin it and it started all the same...but as far as i know the pedal doesnt push gas like it does on a carb car..am i right guys?
