What is the best way to more Horse power??

Is the easiest way to get more horsepower more cubic inches I mean I dont want a big block. Right now I am running a 383 with about 3000 miles on it and it has about 420 rear wheel horse power but I was wondering what a stock 400 small block would get as far as horsepower and gas mileage the 383 gets about 20mpg highway.

With a 400 sb you can produce 500 horses no problem, on pump gas..., If you already have the stroker, why dont you supercharge or blow it?

If you want more cubic inches, dump the 383 and go with a 400 sb.
