Penetrating oil inside the hub, and time for the penetrating oil to work. Did you unbolt the balancer ring from the hub yet?

Did just that Vader..then used a universal puller to get it off the hub..easy as pie! Got the new opti in and the waterpump hooked back up..only the air pump and the fans left...got dark on me...All i can say is thank *** for airtools..:hail: Should have her done early in the AM..hope this solves my problem

Ha Ha, yeap... With my Vette it was a turd. There's a bar that runs right across in front of the pulley. Absolutly no place for a puller.
Since I was replacing the whole opti, I just wedged a crowbar in between the opti & pulley/balancer. A couple of turns latter it poped off.

Let us know how it goes!!!

fingers crossed...

Ron

Ah the life of Riley...new rule..never buy a used supposedly rebuilt opti off E-bay cheap!..The good news is the car at least started...just wouldnt hit enough cylinders to even Idle. If I kept it floored it would pop and chug at about 500rpm..
The good news is it only took me 40 min to get it back off!!
Are optis supposed to rattle when you shake them...
