ANYONE w/ a 91-92 Camaro and REAR DISCS pls read

I just added rear disc brakes to my 92RS two weeks ago. All went well (including the custom axle housing brackets) until it came time to hook up the parking brake cables. At first, my parts counter guy told me their were two different designs, which were two different lengths. We got it right with the later design, but the damn cables were too long. We ordered the earlier design and they are entirely different. After examining the problem more closely, it seems that the Camaro's (and probably Firebirds) with rear discs used different cable guides...which just happen to be discontinues. Other than the fact that the cable itself is about an inch or so too long (after max adjustment of the e-brake lever), these rear cables fit great. Any advise, comments or pictures are greatly appreciated at this point. I really wouldn't be sweating this, but I'm going to be swapping in a T56 by Labor Day and need to get this resolved.

What part number did you order for the cables? I ordered two different sets of cables from GM in order to get it right. The longer set is still in the box. The correct set that allowed me to install 1991 discs on my 1984 was P/N 10164125. Is that what you ordered?

What do you mean by custom mounting brackets? Are you sure the calipers are in the right spot?

WS6...I'll have to dig up the part number but both sets were ordered. One set wouldn't work at all (different end on caliper side) and the other fit perfectly except the cable itself was about an inch too long on both sides.
Black Z: the custom brackets were for me to mount the caliper brackets to the axle housing. This is because a rear disc housing is different from the rear drum housing. Too bad I didn't know about that before I had new gears installed. Apparently the cable guides are different between the drum and disc setups, but the guides are discontinued for disc setups.
