Octane Booster: ok for your engine????????

Is it ok, I have an annoying ping that seems to be more frequent when I am getting low on gas, then whenm I fill it up it stops for a while. I tried it once and it stopped it because some1 told me it is bad for an engine, I need facts and suggesstions, thanks.

all i know is that if you constantly use the octane boost or even the fuel injection treatment it can cause problems, more so that it cures...i hear it causes a buldup around your injectors or something..im not sure.,but i sure as hell know i wont use it too much..i just use it to guarantee a clean bill of health at emissions time, and when im in the mood to race, just so i can pretend my car is faster

I have to use it at the track to cure my knocking/pinging, but thats the only time. Otherwise its straight 92 octane. (CA gas)

My buddy put about 5 of them in his cougar and it would lay tracks around corners. It could hardly peel out before.
