why does my car scream at 3000 rpm's?
why does my car scream at 3000 rpm's?
is it that hard to rev the engine to 3000? whenever i attempt to rev at 3000 with no load it seems the engine is already screamin like hell... is it supposed to do that? or is my tach innaccurate? i idle at around 500-600, the tranny under normal driving shifts at 1500... tnx
yes i have, the reason i asked is because it sure as hell sounds like more than 3000, though i really wouldn't know coz it's a new engine(350) and a new working tach... i know 3000 isn't high but my engine is already screamin when the tach hits 3000... but like i said, i really wouldn't know if it's supposed to sound that way or my tach isn't up to par...
You should know what YOUR OWN car sounds like at any RPM. Unless you just bought it. IF you think that it doesent sound right for 3000r's than your probably right. IT sounds like your tach is know where near par. Check the connection to the coil.

You're right about that bowfinger. i just got the 350 about a month ago, and before that i had no tach... got the car last december, and it's my first v8 daily driver, so i don't really know how these beasts behave... but they sure kick a$$!!! v8's rule!!!
