Ignition questions
I'm in the process of finishing my 305 which only needs gaskets and the whole igition system.
My question is can you run an MSD billet distributor and a coil without an ignition box such as the 6AL that I was gonna buy?
I'm all that informed on ignition systems they are just too varied.
also if I run a used cam with used lifter will they chew each other up if put back in the wrong order?

hello don't leave me hanging.
I'm not asking a hard question.
I also want to know if cam lube and assembly lube are the same cause I have a huge jar of assembly lube at home and I'm about to put the cam in but I don't wanna screw it up.

i treid to reply to this last night but my puter was actin up
if the cam and lifters are roller peices then a through inspection should be all thats needed to reuse the cam and lifters. if there tappet lifters then get new ones.
roller cams and lifters do really wear into each other life tappets do. and tappet lifters arent very expensive
it depends on the distributor..what is the part number?
some u can use without the box..but i have part # 8361 and i have to use a 6AL box..
the lube is the same so just gob it on there
