Hi Flow Cat
Hi Flow Cat
Wazuuuuup,I just got my SLP headers yesterday and need to upgrade my cat.I've got the Slp 1 3/4 inch headers along with an Borla adj. catback exhaust now I need a good high flow cat to keep the exhaust flowing freely.I've heard that the Random Tech one is about the best, but it worth the $ 220-$ 280....Thanks

I've got a Dynomax 3" high flow cat, and I felt no loss of power when I installed it, but I am running a 2.5" exhaust, not larger like I should. I did find that the car runs considerably quieter with the Y-pipe and cat in place (no catback) than it did with just open headers.

You might want to research this a little. All cats now are made with a monolythic core, that means you can hold it up to the light and see right thru it. High flow would be one that is 3" inlet and outlet. The major difference is construction, look for quality, the way it is made. You can believe all the manufacturers claims if you want, but these are the facts. Hope this sheds some light on the subject. (see how many you can get your hands on and look thru them seeing is believing)
