zz-3 cam?

I am thinking about buying a used zz-3 with about 5,ooo miles on it for my 91 Z28 with a 350Tpi and automatic tranny. All i have for mods is pulleys, afpr, jet stage 2 chip, airfoil, k&n's, tb coolant bypass, homemade ram air and ported plenum and lower intake. Wondering what your'e ideas are on buying it used and what kind of hp gains can I expect, or any experiences you have had with this cam. Thanks.

I have that cam in my car. However you will need to change the springs on your heads, as they wont handle the high lift of that cam. I used Manley springs.

Anybody know how much hp this cam is worth? I will be installing 1.6 Harland Sharps roller tip rockers also.

You might want to go with 1.5 ratios on the exhaust side. I have a zz9 cam and it ideled
like sh** with 1.6 on intake and exhaust. It is still real lopey I may put 1.5 rollers on both. zz9 is simular to zz3 pulls hard to 5000.

According to Desktop Dyno 2000 its worth 25 HP over stock. Your mileage will vary.

I have 1.6 rollers on the intake and 1.5 rollers on the exhaust, too.
