rich or lean? what's the difference?
I noticed when I let my car sit running in park, after a while you can smell a strong gasoline odor(very strong). You can smell it when I first fire up the car too. Does this mean I'm running rich or lean or neither? Is this causing possible power loss? If so, how would you go about correcting it?
Thanx guys.

If you can smell it, most likely unburnt fuel...rich...and since you say it happens after idling for awhile, I'd guess that the O2 sensor is cooling down enough to not keep the ECM in closed loop operation...
If it's been awhile, I'd replace the O2 sensor.
I just read your sig line....are you using a heated O2 sensor? If not, this is probably the problem...the header dissapate the exhaust heat faster, so you may need to use a heated sensor to keep the car in closed loop.
At idle, the exhaust temps are their lowest....
