what degree should my camaro be timed??

i have a 84 z28 H.O. 5speed....what should i set my timing to??

Jim,
Start at 8* BTDC, and work your way up to 12* BTDC. If you hear ping or knock, back it off 2*.

Start at 8, test drive it, go to 10 and test drive it, etc.
