hey is it possible to install a box on a non ECM 4bbl camaro? I wanna take off the HEI cap ignition and put in a box if its possible.

do you mean like an MSD 6AL or something along those lines? What exactly do you mean by "box"?

yes they can work on carbed engines.

so basically i would just put a dust cap on the distributor and run the wire off the box, but then to where after from the box?

To be honest with you, I'm not really sure. I thought most aftermarked ignitions worked with the existing coil. Are you trying to swap to an external coil distributor?

i was wondering if i could go with distributorless ignitioin and timing control, even though my car isnt ECM controlled?
