starting problems

Every so often my car will start fine then run for about a minute and then die. It won't start up again. Sometimes it will start after 15minutes and other times it will be days but when it does start it starts without any problems. It has never died while driving either. I have checked the fuel system and gas is getting to the carb so I have no idea what the problem is. Please help.

well, this might help as i was advised when i asked for similar problem - hard starting. my car has tpi 305 engine. so anyway, mine will take a long time to start and at times idle erractically so i was told to check on the fuel pump relay and the egr. another thing to check for you...
