What could this be
What could this be
Ok i just had my engine rebuilt so i'm hoping that isn't the problem anyways. Ok when i'm just cruising down the road after the car heats up and i hit 45 then just coast down right at 43 the car starts jerking like no other? My buddy says it could be the transmission trying to downshift i don't know cause i just changed the trans fluid yesterday it needed it {not my fault i just got it} and i'm thinking since i didn't add the entire 5 quarts like my auto teacher told me to that it could just be low on fluid but my other auto teacher told me it was better to be low the overfilled so that is why i'm adding it in pints like any ideas
Oh and what would make a car stall before it warms up and it only does it occasionaly like 1 every 3 weeks

Sounds to me like a torque converter problem. Maybe the converter is locking and unlocking or something strange like that.
Stalling before it's warmed up could be a bunch of things, but I'd generally say a sensor problem, like a sluggish/sticky IAC valve, or a screwy MAF.

i would agree with nixon, those crappy sensors if its tbi/tpi are such a pita.

If it's a problem with the converter locking and unlocking, you can wire in a switch to the ALDL so when you flip it, it bridges the upper left-most and upper right-most pins. That will force-lock the converter. So when your car starts acting up, flip that switch and see what happens. Just remember, the switch KEEPS the converter locked, so dont try to accelerate or decelerate much with it on. This will work in all gears except 1st.
