FUEL

I RECENTLY BOUGHT A 1990 CHEVROLET CAMARO WITH A 3.1L V6. I HAVE NOTICED THAT MY CAR USES ALOT OF FUEL. IS THERE ANY PRODUCTS I CAN BUY THAT WOULD INCREASE THE MILES PER GALLON WITHOUT SACRIFICING PERFORMANCE

Camaro,

Welcome aboard! I think you'll find some very good information and discussion here. If you have a question, you'll generally get it answered, or at least get plenty of opinions.

As far as your V-6, there may be any number of things wrong, from normal maintenance items to mechanical damage and wear.

The best thing you can do is to perform all the normal routine maintenance required for a car with whatever mileage yours has. Ignition components, filters, fluid changes, oxygen sensor, may be among those items. If there are more specific symptoms you can relate, that would help to narrow down the possibilities.

Unless you are certain that maintenance items have been performed, start doing it now. A V-6 in a ThirdGen should be good for over 20 MPG on the highway, even on a high mileage engine. What are you getting now?
