VE Calculator

How do I figure out the VE # for my firebird? Its a 91 305tpi 5spd.

You can take it somewhere that has a chasis dyno, or pull the motor and have it put on a real dyno. But in order to get a true reading, you'll have to use your entire exhaust system to.

Transmission: TH475
Axle/Gears: Dana 60, 4.10 w/spool
Volumetric efficiency = actual cfm / theoretical cfm x 100

Theoretical cfm = RPM x engine displacement / 3456.

Simply put: you need to know how much air your engine is consuming at various rpm's under WOT conditions to complete the equation.
