Flywheel bolts, right or left handed???
Well, I broke my 14mm socket already. So it makes me ponder whether these bolts are right or left handed.

The bolts are right handed and extremely tight. You have to hold the crank still. Also are you using 1/2" or 3/8" drive? You might want to try 1/2" with a breaker bar.

Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
You might also try an SAE socket instead of a metric one...it'll fit better.
If you have access to one, an impact gun works well; if not, try a rubber hammer on the end of the ratchet handle to break them free.

Thanks guys,
I found that the bolts take a 9/16" socket and are right handed. This car drives me nuts with a mix of SAE and metric nuts and bolts.
The way I broke the flywheel bolts free was to stick a bolt thru one of the TC holes in the flywheel and let that bind against the engine block in order to stop the flywheel from turning.
Now I can bolt the block to the engine stand.
