As a proud rookie in the world of engine building I'm totally lost when it comes to knowing how and why to modify heads, cams, carbs, intakes...well pretty much everything you can modify. Is there a good book to get me started??? I have a good idea on why you do the basics like make higher compession but how do you do it, how much should you do it, and what do you use to do it!? I just know that I wanna do it!

Anything by David Vizard or Ben Watson is good. You need to go to a big bookstore to find them or amazon.com if you're high tech.
