Engine Revs

Can anybody help?? Engine revolutions at cold approximately 1500 takes approximately 7 minutes to reduce to 750 revs, this is the same when the engine is hot. Has anybody any ideas how to reduce this time when the engine is hot. The car is a 1986 z28 5L injection automatic.

Maybe you could check your coolant sensor and your air temp sensor?

Your throttle could be sticking or you could have a vacuum leak. It could also be your IAC and or TPS sensors. Many things to look at. I would check out how to data log and narrow down the problem before you start changing things.
