I didn't put any treatment in it because I thought it would sit for only about 3 months, boy was I wrong. I was thinking on syphoning it out but what if there is residue at the bottom of the tank?

I would just take out the fuel filter and let it drain out. Then you can replace the filter too. It's on the drivers side under the car by the back wheel.

I love pissing those LS1's off

just like Birmass said only dont siphon it, just turn the key to the on position then off, repeast till its out. Dont run it!!! My shop just recently replaced every fuel thing you can think of.

My car doesn't have an electric pump, it runs off of a mechanical fuel pump, but I guess I could just unplug the line and get it started (suck on end of hose) or disconnect it at the gas tank and let it drain.

When I pulled my engine, all i did was let the fuel line of the pump hang down.
Gravity did the rest. In a gas can of course!

Fill up the tank and run it. Thats what I do. As long as you have a fuel filter dont worry. Gas may loose some potensey but with fresh gas It'll run fine.
