1968 camaro engine/tranny?

hey guys, i am trying to find out info on the 1968 camaro engine. does anyone know or know were i can get thenumber that are behind the altinator stamped on the ledge??
anyone know the blocks casting #?

anyone know info on 68 camaro engine and trannys

we think that the engine and tranny i have in my camaro are from a 68 camaro but want to make sure.

why not get the casting number and suffix code off yours and look it up?
