Yes= I'm a dumba$$

After my rebuild, I kept getting a code 43 (knock sensor). I tried to figure out what the deal was and finally decided to check the voltage at my plugs. Voltage at knock sensor plug was a little over 12 volts, whereas it should be between 4 and 6. There are two plugs that look the same on that side of the engine, one for the knock sensor and one for the sensor that turns the fans on at a certain temp. You know where I'm going with this. I had them crossed. So a word to the wise, mark your plugs if they look the same. Glad I thought about this before I started tearing into the wiring harness. Just like Carl on "Slingblade" always check the simplest things first when trouble shooting. Hope this might help somebody one day.

I didn't think they looked the same, but I labeled them anyway.

It's always a good idea. Another is to take pictures before and during the disassembly. With digital cameras these days, you don't even have to worry about wasting the cost or time to develope them.
