emissions probs with hc's

well ive been in twice now, and cant seem to get the .80 hc's required, before i thought it was my converter after the first try because the air tube wasnt hooked up, but it passed on the co anyways, hc's wee 1.29 when im allowed a .80. After the first try i added the air tube to cat, changed egr, new fuel injectors (this is tbi by the way) and i figured since most of my ignition stuff was fairly new done over the summer, that it would be ok, but no. Secind time got a 1.17 on hc's still quite over the mark, so now i replaced everything in the ignition again, and wondering what anyone else thinks about it. I got new bosch platinum +4's Accel 8mm wires, a msd blaster coil, new dist cap and rotor, new o2 sensor, and a mallory ign box. Anyone think this could help me pass this damn thing? Also I have reall crappy gas mileage, have for years, and my tbi is always soaked with gass on top, seems to be getting way to much fuel, i thought maybe i could use an adjustable pressure regulator, or does anyone think there could be another problem? I already ran out of time for the 3rd test, and had my liscenc suspended, so i really need this thing to pass and as soon as possible, any idea, and i already tried a bottle of "guaranteed to pass" and it didnt work. My timing is set correct at 0* base, like the factory label says, i have no trouble codes, and averything seems to be working fine, although my cr misses at idle now with that ign box. And kinda worried about the fuel issue to, please comment guys.

Hc's are caused by either a misfire or a rich condition. Platinums dont really belong in our car and can cause misfires but usually that is at the higher rpms not at idle. You iac could be plugged up causeing it to run rich at idle and cause the misfire/pooling of fuel in the intake. What did your printout look like? What condition got your hc's to go high?

its kinda tough to explain the printout, but it looks like the hc's jumped up too high either at idle before they ran her on the dyno, or after they got done putter her through ehr paces, and brought it back to an idle for a few seconds or so. plus the tps and iac arent very old, i usually replace parts every few yers to to keep anything from goin out on me. Although i dont have a volt/ohm meter to check my tps setting currently i know that could cause some problems with fuel, i did have to replace it a few months back, and its an adjustble style so i just put it on, utilizing the position the factory one was at. But i do have this fuel pressure issue, after i installed my compucam 2031 the gas mileage went right down the ****ter. sux gas real bad, and i always have liquid gas all over the top of my tb. I know its recomended to have an adjustable one for the car with that cam, but i neverreally got around to it, but the car when its running puts a big fan of gas into the throttle body, and it actually splshes up out of the bores onto the top of it. Possibly my regulator is just gone bad, or is there just too much fuel pressure, and an adjustable one is finally needed? the gas is actually leakingout my tb gaskets now too, base, and top gaskets, as well as my fuel return line, not alot, but noticable.
