The tab that the timing mark is Set/Read against is located where? I couldnt seem to find it. Maybe the belts where blocking my view but i just couldnt seem to locate it.

If the front of the engine was a clock where would it be located?
12 o'clock would be the very top/center

Try 12 o'clock.

You have to look between the back of the water pump and timing cover. Not sure about the '82, but I have to move this snake of vacuum hoses and purge canister control valve in order to look down there and see it.

 

So i have to look straight down from the top of the engine to see it? that helps a bunch!..hope i can find it
