Problem with starting

my car wont start
it sounds like it will turn over but wont when i turn it on for the radio everything turns on but i noticed the battery gauge is at 8
and i know i havnt started it in two days

does it need a jump or new battery
i know it will start if i do jump it but what would cause that to happen?
is somthing draining the battery when its off?

sounds like a dead cell in your battery. but also the alternator might not be charging the battery either.

You need to bring the battery voltage up to at least 12 volts with a battery charger or jump starting it and letting it run. Check your cables for corrosion and the battery acid level. Add distilled water to the battery if it needs it and clean the terminals with baking soda and water.
