Oil Pressure Sender

I bought an autometer electric oil pressure guage to put in the GTA. I'm wondering if there is more than one spot to put the sender. I could put it in place of the stock sender, but I think it would be nice to know how far off the stock one is. I've got a 89 L98 350 with TPI. I've heard there is two places that the oil pressure is gotten from. My 84 305 TA had it up next to the distributor, and this 350 has it down right above the oil filter. Also, if there is the two spots...won't the oil filter spot give a more accurate/higher reading?

I've already installed the pod with guage, and the I ran the wires down to the driver side floor. Tomorrow I'm hoping to install the sender and wire it up. Quick responses would be GREAT.

Thanks
Ryan

Either workes fine. Depending on year, the switch could be plugged in behind the distributor. Which means that obviously gets a significant enough pressure read as it is kind of important for the fuel pump operation. Other years have a combided sender/switch located down by the filter. use whatever you want as either will be adequate.

there's a 1/8 npt plug to the right and above the timing cover you can use.
