I cant get my new 350 to run right,it has a new water pump and no therm but runs at 190 cruising at 70 in 5th gear.
I cant seem to get it to run right either,if i run the carb rich and lots of initial advance like 20*+ it runs good but wont start very well.right now its is at 15* initial it runs ok but bogs when i open up the 4bbls. it has an edelbrock 600 on it now,the carb is about a year old and never had the jets changed,could that be an issue?suggestions or insults anyone?

 

"New" 250? As in newly built? Did you verify the cam timing with a degree wheel? That's a lot of initial advance, and sounds suspiciously like a timing set that was installed one tooth off the marks.
