my car doesn't want to go over 3000 rpms,and the tach dances up and down,like there's a bad ground or something on the HEI system or computer,it does this once and a while. it will down shift,but it won't pickup any better it bogs for a second and then picks up momentum after I let of the gas and re-apply,the engine is new,the carb is original,I've replaced the HEI coil,module,pick-up coil,knock sensor,the distributer is original as well as the computer the engine shop recomended to replace the EGR which I still haven't done, I'd like to get it running perfect and add the chip,it has shorty headers and borla cat back,once I have it running peak,I'd like to sell the 305 HO complete w/ECM smog ect... the block still only has 3300 miles on it so selling it could help to get a used LT1 or TPI 5.7L, I know how to trouble shoot electronic equipment,but only when I know what I'm working with..who sells good tech manuals for thirdgens? chiltons & haynes isn't helping much here. thanks
