Is 39 knock counts alot..

How about timing at 35 degrees around 2000rpm cruising..
Also at WOT, the Air/fuel ratio got to 10.7:1
This is for TPI S10....

that seems like a lot to me. With my blower, the most I've recorded is like 11 knock sensor counts at WOT. What about your knock retard? What are the readings on that?

You are only giving us a "snap shot". The more important stat is the amount of knock retard encounters WHILE you are encountering these "knock counts".

39 knock counts all at a couple degrees is a lot better than 12* of knock retard with only 10 knock counts.

Ignore the knock counts and look at your knock retard AS it is happening. Don't just look at the "final tally"; the knocking has already occurred. You need to "play it back" and check the amount of retard you encountered when these knock counts were happening.
