Rev-limiter question

I have an MSD with the built in rev-limiter set at 5500, but my rpms still only go to about 4800. Is there a stock rev-limiter that I need to disconnect?

No.

Are you Sure you arent Confusing a Rev Limiter, With Your Shift points ?

Are you Saying that In neutral It will only rev to 4800 and then stop ?

Or that in First it will only rev to 4800 before it shifts to second, Big Differance

i'd say the "wall" your engine is running into is it's preformance limitations. just because you have a 5800rpm pill in the msd doesn't mean you can run that much rpm.
