A question on timing
I seem to be running pretty warm at idle and in traffic. This did not used to happen. I was wondering if there was too much timing in the lower rpm ranges, could this make me run warmer?
All hypotheses welcome.

Radiator is in good condition. Fan switch is stock. So it comes on at @ 235-240*. I usually turn the a/c on before it gets that hot. That cools it down quite a bit.
I am running pretty close to a 50/50 mix of water and anti-freeze.

Since you have electric fans, which are normally OFF unless the engine is hot, you will have no airflow through the radiator when you're sitting still (or moving slowly). Consequently, the temp will gradually rise until the fan is switched on. This happens on my car all the time.
You can get a Jet fan switch which turns on the fans at a lower temp. I also think the fan switch for a Buick GNX turns on the fan at a lower temp than our stock switch. Anybody know for sure? Will an 87 GNX fan switch fit our heads and connect to our harness?

AM Racer,
Well I am fairly certain the radiator is ok because I did not have the problem until I started to mess with chip tuning. (Or have someone do it for me, as it were.)
