Dash Gauges
Dash Gauges
I have A 305 TBI and want to know if the temperature sesnor located on the top front of the engine? I have 1 person telling me yes, and 1 says no. Or could that be the oil pressure gauge?

The one in the intake manifold? That's the Coolant Temperature Sensor. I'm not sure if it controlls the gauge or not, but I know the ECU uses it.

Hmm.. so that's what I disconnected the other day....
So, between the 1 and 3 is the sensor that goes to the dash? Then the one on the intake manifold is just used by the ECM right? So if I plugged that hole, since I have no ECM, it wouldn't make any difference, right?

I thought the one the ECM used was between 1 and 3, and the one that the temp gauge used was on the intake...
