My ports for my header gaskets, do I need a 1.50 by 1.50 or a 1.36 by 1.36, the motor is a gm replacment 350 and the headers are for a 305 lg4 and they are 1 5/8, I want to use the earls gaskets. thanks

On my L98 I used Felpro 1444 1.38 X 1.38

 

I get the smaller ones, then cut them out to match the exhaust ports. I have found that when buying the larger size there is very little material between the 2/4 and 3/5 exhaust ports. Seems like they blow out quicker between the ports with the bigger ones...

 

It is unbeleivable that summit can't tell me which ones, pace parts and scoggin dickeys are not sure. You figure they sell the motor and the parts you think they would know. Thanks guys for your help, does anyone else have anything to add?

 

Only one way to do it, MEASURE the ports. That way you are definately sure you have the right gasket size (same goes for intakes).

But if the headers are 1 5/8, wouldn't the 1.50 by 1.50 still be to small, considering that that is only inch and a half?
