Combo question

I'm saving up money to get some stuff for my car and was wondering how much hp i could get outta this stuff...

*88 z28 engine

*Magnum 270H Hydraulic Flat Tappet Camshaft & Lifter Kit
Lift: .470''
Duration: 270°
RPM Range: 1800-5800

*Flowmaster Replacement Mufflers - 1982-92 Camaro Z28/Firebird Trans Am: 80 Series, 2.5''In/2.5'' Dual Out - 80 Series

*Edelbrock T.E.S. Headers - 1986-90 Camaro/Firebird 5.0L/5.7L TPI 3'' slip-on single cat.

*Hipsters ATD Powerglide Transmission - Trans with Turbo Input

*GM Performance Flywheels - FYLWHEEL 168TH 1PC 86-UP

Any ideas on hp with those mods?

What other "cheap" things could/should I add on?

What engine is it there are many different engine that were available in 88. You will not get 30 hp from exhaust, only when your making 400hp will exhaust add 30hp.

What size is it? 305 or 350 and if its an 88 it should be a roller engine so I would get a roller cam if I were you. Such as the Lt1 cam or maybe the Lt4 hot cam. Also you might want to make sure whatever heads you have can handle .470 lift. I think with a decent cam and a full exhaust(headers, high flow cat or no cat, and 3'' catback) you will gain about 30hp or so depending on what heads and what induction you have. It will be a noticable difference. But if you have crappy heads and crappy induction you wont be able to take advantage of the cam and exhaust. Good Luck.

Its a 350. Sorry guys, never been too good with this stuff.

Is there anyone who spent around $2100 and has a good setup? Thats my budget for my project right now, labor not included. Any ideas on the max hp I could get outta $2100, maybe going a little over?

Thanks for your help

With 2100 I could go build a +/- 350 hp engine. You have to do all the work yourself and be one hell of a deal finder.

With 2100 you can build a nice engine, at least around here.

But if I used my connections.. probably alot more.. i get **** for wholesale

If you already have the motor and $2100 to add to that you can easily achieve 350hp. If its a roller motor(which it should be if its from an 88 z28)I would go with the SDPC vortec kit with the RPM intake and heads that handle .550 lift. Then add an Lt4 hot cam or a simular roller cam. You will make about 400hp at the fly with that combo and a full exhaust system.
