hesitation under heavy a load
hesitation under a load
Engine starts up and drives fine while it is cold. As it gets warmer it starts to stumlbe/bogg down as I accelerate. If I accelerate normal and cruise at 40 it seems to run just fine, but if I go up a hill or have to pass it boggs and stumbles.
It is a 1984 chevy silverado with a 350. I have no idea of what the year the engine is, I just got it. It has a vacume advance distributor, with a holley 4 barrel carb. If it is at an idle the engine revs up good. I just put a new (in cap) coil, rotor, cap, air filter, and fuel filter but nothing helped. I have also played with the timming but that wasnt helping either.
I know I need to check my spark plugs when I get time but aside from that any ideas of what this problem might be? Should I be looking into the timing or the fuel system or what?
Thanks.
