Engine: 5.7L, L98 slightly modified

Transmission: 700R4

TPI to Carb

I am building a new engine for my 87 Camaro that was originally a TPI car. The high performance engine I am putting back in the car is going to have a carb set up. I have already gotten a HEI distributor from a donor 79 Camaro. I wanted to make sure I had the wiring correct. Thick pink wire coming from the fire wall plugs into the BAT "+" terminal and the white wire from the fire wall plugs into the tach terminal. Is this correct?
