Someone almost broke into my car! Help me find replacement parts please!
Hey everyone.
Well, to make a long story short, some lame neighbors in our apartment complex i had a problem with moved out about a week ago. Apparently they came back, and jammed a screwdriver into my drivers door lock, and pried off the black metal covering, as well as the small metal peice which coveres the lock itself.
Nothing was stolen, as the car was right next to the apartment, and they knws if i heard glass smash, i would be out the door in a second checking it out. (i have a 12" and 600 watt amp in plain view)
Where would i get replacement parts for this? a GM dealership? all i need is the black cover which goes over the lock, and the spring actuated keyhole thingie.
Thanks in advance!

Those pieces arent sold separately. You might be able to take those off a lock from a wrecking yard, and put them on yours... but I dunno about that.
I'd replace both locks with new ones, they arent that expensive. Then you get to carry 3 keys with ya
Or you can have the new locks rekeyed for $$$$$.
Those are some options anyway.

Cool, good suggestion, but the keys still work. They didn't ruin the lock itself luckily, they just ruined the covers for it, by prying them off.
looks like they tried to jam a screwdriver into the keyhole too, but it didn't fit.
I just don't want to drive around without the cover on the lock, it looks like crap
