detonation sensor

I'm finally throwing in a L98 months after taking out my 305. However, i have no idea what happened to my detonation sensor's connection. I know it should look identical to the connection for my fan switch sensor, but i dont' see one anywhere near that part of the harness. The only wire that's not accounted for, is a ring terminal that looks like it was ***** rigged onto the harness. If all i have is this ring terminal, is there some way of hooking it up to that sensor? Having taken the old LB9 out so long ago, i can't seem to remember how it was hooked up.

Technically, it's called a detonation sensor. The sensor on the driver's side head is called the knock.

referred to as a knock sensor in most circles I frequent, but who the hell cares, the point is yours is gone.
