I need help identifing this hose.

Hi guys im new to the board and i just got a 1984 z28 h.o. original engine. i was just wondering what this hose was for. cause its cracked and wanted to replace it, but i had not seen this hose on pics of other peopls cars thanks for your help.

I think that is conduit, not a hose. I could be wrong, but I have a 1984 Z28 L69 also and I don't have anything that looks like that on my engine.

Looks like the little "blower" thing they put on some of these cars at the dealer, to attempt to solve customer complaints about hot starting problems and other heat-related issues. It just blows cool air at the base of the carb.

You get 3.73 gears with the G92. Thats what mine has, no Posi though.

A factory L69 car will have 3.73 gears if it has a 5-speed, and 3.42 with the auto.

I think 3.73 was an option on the auto though, which would be G92.

Yup, thats what I got. I wish the original owner would have optioned the posi as well. I mean why get the H.O. motor and optional 3.73s and not get the posi?!?!
